Why is Philips shirking the US consumers?

Its very cool to say the least and with SuperBowl round the bend, it could have been really sweet.

But, by all reliable reports, Philips’ 56-inch Cinema 21:9 HDTV is not set for the US market.

Is it a marketing strategy or the Yanks do not like the Philips brand?
